Moist banana bread swirled with sweet cinnamon sugar for a delightful breakfast or dessert treat.

# What You'll Need:

→ Banana Bread Batter

01 - 3 ripe bananas, mashed
02 - ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
03 - ¾ cup granulated sugar
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
06 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
07 - 1 tsp baking soda
08 - ½ tsp salt

→ Cinnamon Sugar Swirl

09 - ⅓ cup granulated sugar
10 - 2 tsp ground cinnamon

# Method:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
02 - Whisk mashed bananas and melted butter in a large bowl. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
03 - Sift flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix just until combined.
04 - Mix cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl.
05 - Spread half the batter in the pan. Sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar. Add remaining batter, then top with remaining cinnamon sugar. Use a knife to swirl gently for a marbled effect.
06 - Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
07 - Let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

# Insider Tips:

01 -
  • The cinnamon sugar creates these gorgeous ribbons that make every slice look like you tried way harder than you actually did
  • That moment when you swirl the knife through the batter is weirdly satisfying, like edible tie dye
02 -
  • Overmixing the batter creates tough, dense bread, so stop as soon as the flour disappears
  • The swirl looks most dramatic when you do not overdo the knife work, restraint is your friend here
03 -
  • Line your loaf pan with parchment paper that overhangs the sides for easy removal
  • Substituting brown sugar for half the white sugar adds caramel depth that people will notice but not be able to place
