# Method:

01 - Combine ground chicken, chopped onion, garlic, soy sauce, grated ginger, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix until thoroughly incorporated.
02 - Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into uniform burger patties, approximately 1 inch thick.
03 - Heat grill or grill pan over medium temperature and lightly coat surface with olive oil.
04 - Cook chicken patties for 5–6 minutes per side until fully cooked with clear juices and internal temperature reaches 165°F. Add cheese slices during the final minute and cover to melt if desired.
05 - Place pineapple rings on the grill and cook for 2 minutes per side until lightly caramelized with grill marks.
06 - Lightly toast burger buns on the grill for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
07 - Spread barbecue sauce on bottom bun halves. Layer lettuce, tomato slices, chicken patty, grilled pineapple ring, and red onion. Top with remaining bun halves.
08 - Serve immediately while warm, accompanied by preferred side dishes.

# Insider Tips:

01 -
  • The grilled pineapple adds natural sweetness that balances perfectly with the savory chicken
  • Everything cooks on the grill so cleanup is practically nonexistent
02 -
  • Chicken burgers need to hit 74°C internally but take them off just before to avoid drying out
  • Pineapple releases water as it grills so give it a quick pat with paper towels first
03 -
  • Mix a little sauce into the meat mixture for extra flavor throughout
  • Warm your barbecue sauce slightly so it spreads more easily
