Tri-layered red, white and blue ice cubes with berries and coconut to brighten summer drinks and celebrations.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 1/2 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
02 - 1/2 cup strawberries, hulled and chopped
03 - 1/2 cup coconut meat, fresh, or unsweetened shredded coconut

→ Liquids

04 - 1 cup coconut water
05 - 1 cup natural blueberry juice
06 - 1 cup natural strawberry juice or cranberry juice

# Method:

01 - Rinse blueberries and strawberries thoroughly. Hull and chop strawberries as needed.
02 - Fill each ice cube tray compartment one-third full with blueberries. Add enough blueberry juice to cover the fruit, then freeze for approximately 1 hour or until solid.
03 - Place coconut meat or a sprinkle of unsweetened shredded coconut over the frozen blue layer. Pour coconut water over the coconut to fill the next third of each compartment, then freeze for another hour until set.
04 - Distribute chopped strawberries on top of the coconut layer. Fill each compartment to the top with strawberry juice or cranberry juice. Freeze for at least 2 more hours until completely solid.
05 - Remove the colorful ice cubes from the tray and add to lemonade, sparkling water, or cocktails before serving.

# Insider Tips:

01 -
  • These cubes transform any ordinary drink into a conversation piece without extra work.
  • They’re so much fun for kids and adults alike, and the vibrant natural layers never fail to get compliments at parties.
02 -
  • If you rush and don’t freeze between layers, everything runs together in a purple blur.
  • Once I swapped juices by accident, and honestly, some surprises just make it better—don’t stress if your red and blue bleed a little!
03 -
  • Let the ice trays sit at room temp for a minute before popping out—no need to wrestle with stuck cubes.
  • Chilling your glass first keeps those color swirls brighter for longer once the cubes hit your drink.
